Problem: Create an advertising campaign to promote the new Calvin Klein underwear “Symbol of Art” by Calvin Klein.

Process: Looking for many ways to improve an ad for Calvin Klein utilizing a real symbol of art, I realized that some or the most important art pieces from past years could be the perfect model for this campaign. In the campaign, we can see different types, forms, and perspectives of the male body. The figure may be seen from different points of view, through different types of art, such as Roman-Greek Art, Renaissance, and Cubism, and by pieces from known artists, such as Pablo Picasso, Leonardo Da Vinci and Michelangelo.

Solution: Based on the name of the campaign, I decided to use recognizable and important pieces of art from past centuries as models. To illustrate different artistic time periods, I combined different types of art such as painting and sculptures, and different genres of art, such as Cubism, Renaissance, and Greek Roman sculptures made by significant artists. Using different types of art, I showed different types of the male human body viewed from a different artistic point of view.
